With a pandemic of political dissonance affecting the country, Brexit’s poisoning of representative democracy, a zombie government and the stench of its decomposing Westminster corpse, it was left to Area 51 to finally find some fun from the shambles.

A horde of Halloween hedonists headed into hell as they braved a bone-chilling scaremaze. Pleasure seekers were treated to one of the scariest interactive horror attractions seen in the U.K. staged inside a popular nightclub in the north-west. The Troll had to be a movie-quality walking, talking monster, able to move around at live events in forests, fields or on floors. We used the latest in silicone skins and paint effects to ensure he was as real close up as in promo pics.

University students were taken back through time to the Roaring Twenties for a rip-roaring gala ball thanks to Area 51. A series of stunning props and scenery were created for the glittering annual occasion at Loughborough University in the heart of England and together with a troupe of 51 entertainers, the event was heralded an enormous success.

Initially created for a university students’ ball, the client wanted guests to walk through a smokey corridor to the Great Hall at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It should come complete with dozens of ethereal flying candles, stone walls, giant fireplaces and ghostly apparitions. Here the Sorting Hat will guide you and your guests into your chosen Hogwarts houses, whether Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw.

After a riotously successful performance of Somnambu at Dubai’s World-famous Atlantis Hotel, the Area 51 think-tank had to serve up something really special 12 months later to stay fresh and innovative.
