Jet-setting performers from Area 51 helped transform not one, but TWO, paradise islands into fantasy islands as part of an eggs-hausting Easter extravaganza in the east…

The stunning locations in the Maldives were made over to catapult holidaymakers into a chimerical dream world where fantasy characters burst into life right before their eyes during a week-long programme.

On the luxurious island of Amilla Fushi where luxury holiday homes appear to hover over clear, azure ocean waters that lap against the shoreline of pristine white beaches, the tropical paradise became Wonderland as Area 51’s team of high-end artists engendered a dazzling Alice In Wonderland themed egg-stravaganza.

Over at the equally majestic Finolhu resort island Area 51 experts transformed the place into – perfect for Easter – a Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory theme to enchant children of ALL ages.

For both Maldives locations Area 51’s posse presented a visual ‘concerto,’ combining splendour, fun, skill and eye-catching thrills. They organised treasure hunts, Easter egg hunts, gala dinner shows, fashion parades, walkabout meet and greet opportunities for guests to have their photos taken with various characters associated with both fantasy tales.

Barrington Powell starred in the role of Wonka on Finolhu, bringing his skills of magic, jesting and public engagement together alongside a variety of performers, resplendent in stunning costumes and displaying a wide range of circus skills. Among them was Luca Chiarva who stunned guests with his high-write fire juggling performances.

At Amilla Fushi magician Sav was joined by Luke D’Silva and a classy cast of characters to wow the wayfarers by taking them down the rabbit hole to an otherworldly world of fun and laughter.
