When a vintage Victorian circus pitched its tent inside the huge Ricoh Arena for a feast of festive fun at a series of sell-out shows the magic of Christmas truly came alive.

Are 51 created a new circus with a Victorian theme that married its period costumes with a contemporary cutting-edge cool with steampunk overtones that Coventry went completely crazy for.

Performing in front of thousands of revellers each night for a run of dates inside the vast surrounds of the Ricoh, the event was an enormous success.

Among the troupe of entertainers provided by Area 51 were Britain’s Got Talent star Billy George and his cyr wheel routine together with the Caravan of Lost Souls featuring fakir Jack Knife and ringmaster extraordinaire Luke da Silva.

Glamorous Area 51 girls and gyrating guys provided breath taking aerial displays, dramatic fire acts and gymnastic ribbons to create an eye-catching show that won huge plaudits from those present.
