LINKEDIN ROOF TOP ILLUSION

LinkedIn invited us to compose, design and install a theme for a their Talent Connect London event for 2,500 guests, that would even eclipse the success of our previous joint projects. The idea of a London hotel rooftop, to be staged over two levels, impressed them and design work began. But this rooftop would actually be indoors at the ExCeL Conference Centre! Over 72 hours Area 51’s crew created the roof-top illusion. The backdrop was the London skyline, and low-lying clouds edged the walls, while the central space was brought to life with networking areas and bars.

‘Surpassed all expectations’ was just one of the compliments for Area 51 for the design and installation of a rooftop theme for a major event.

A replica hot-air balloon was installed as a photo/selfie station. The upper level also offered access to seminars, while the lower level was a landscaped rooftop garden with grass and plants plus a column feature. A relaxing seating area alongside water features offered USB and mains charging points. There was even the ‘Sky Gym’ for the keep-fit lovers. LinkedIn were over the moon with it and said our work ‘surpassed all expectations’.
