QEII ILLUMINATIONS

Over 85,000 LED lights lit up one of the largest event venues in Central London as guests flocked to the QEII Conference Centre. Area 51 and event theme partners Event-Trees were asked to provide a dazzling ‘illumination’ themed event that would showcase the versatility of networking suites at the QEII Conference Centre, London, for the venue’s potential clients.

THE BRIEF:

Area 51 and event theme partners Event-Trees were asked to provide a dazzling ‘illumination’ themed event that would showcase the versatility of networking suites at the QEII Conference Centre, London, for the venue’s potential clients.

THE BUILD:

Cambridge Suite guests entered through a shimmering tunnel of twinkle twigs, fairy lights and foliage, into a classy cocktail bar. An array of lava panels encompassed the room that also included a ‘Light Lounge’ bar and seating. The stairs up to the Mountbatten Suite had a back-lit ‘rainbow enigma’, and the room was festooned with hundreds of festival ceiling lights. Guests were immersed in the warm glow of eight huge chandeliers and a central point – a ‘Voice of God’ ball, which amplifies a speaker’s voice while its light resonates to each phrase. Eight twinkle twig pillars offered a stunning visual display and a range of glowing orb table centre-pieces enhanced the ambience.
