We make bespoke props in-house to suit a diverse range of events from small private parties to full-scale venue transformations. Our in-house design and workshop teams have the specialised skills and the technology to create high-quality originals items. They range from portable props, such as the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party tableware, to statues, fantasy weapons, a talking wizard hat – and even a huge room-size hat for a rapper’s London stage show. We love to make ideas happen, so feel free to challenge us.

WONDERLAND’S EASY ON THE ICE
IT’S NOT JUST Santa Claus, his elves and reindeer who help build Christmas joy… add Area 51 to that list after a gargantuan effort to help create one of the world’s largest ever festive themed events propelled the company into spotlight.
WHAT THE DICKENS!
AREA 51 brought its snow-how to London to help overhaul Hyde Park into a stunning winter wonderland as hundreds of thousands of visitors revelled in the ice cool attraction which sported a Charles Dickens theme.
HUNGARY FOR SUCCESS!
Jet-setting travellers were given a fascinating glimpse into the stunning landscapes of Hungary as part of a major national festival staged in London. And Area 51’s team of design experts were on hand to create an exhibition inside The London Excel Centre for National Geographic with a contemporary art gallery vibe.
SEASIDE TREATS, NOT TRICKS
Helping to “trick” people into the treat of being by the seaside, Area 51 sent a team of dream-makers to the coast on a mission. And it was a case of “mission accomplished” as visionary artisans from 51 created an attraction that turned out to be right up the street of shoppers in Southport on Merseyside.
PUTTING THE SWING INTO LONDON
Politicians, tourists and business leaders were greeted with the sight of a colourful crazy golf course in the heart of London and close to the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey!

TUNNEL VISION
Area 51 helped create a stunning interactive tunnel for a major world technology exhibition staged in Amsterdam.
WALKING IN A WINTER WONDERLAND
AREA 51’s world-renowned creative gurus and workforce came together to help shape-shift part of London’s iconic Hyde Park into a phantasmagorical world of magic and mirth in time for Christmas.
HAMMING IT UP AT SILVERSTONE
Area 51 helped bring a flavour of the Balearic party scene to Formula 1’s British Grand Prix staged at Silverstone. The company created a special “Ham-former” robot stilts character, a hybrid of the popular A51 Transformer and a Lewis Hamilton bobble head, which caused a storm among race fans

UK rapper, J Hus, demanded high-quality production values when he staged his first ever London show. The centre-piece had to be a white 5m-wide bucket, recreating the cover-photo theme from his hit album, Common Sense

ATLANTIS RISING
London’s prestigious party venue, 8 Northumberland Avenue, start planning Christmas a year ahead. Setting aside traditional festive themes they asked for splendour on an oceanic scale – the myth of Atlantis was to be brought alive – furthermore they wanted a plush ambient party-zone to match. The brief was ‘epic’ plus ‘glitz & glam’. They key colours – deep-sea blues and paradise pinks.The spirit of the Lost Sunken
WINTER WONDERLAND HYDE PARK 2017-18
Transforming London’s Hyde Park into a winter theme park – The Magical Ice Kingdom entrance at Winter Wonderland.Each festive season London’s Hyde Park becomes a multi-attraction theme park billed as Winter Wonderland. It’s filled with fairground rides, ice rinks, circuses and a host of other attractions.
JAX JONES GOES LARGE
Originally commissioned for the video of his hit song ‘Breathe’, Jax Jones’ big bobblehead had to be instantly recognisable. It also needed to be customised for the BRITS Awards with a mic inserted into the head and a speaker system that was worn on a chunky gold chain around his neck. This enabled him to conduct interviews with the world’s press before the evening’s proceedings began.
BLACK SITE – THE MOVIE
It was a case of going underground and tunnel vision as Area 51’s creative crew were summoned to help with the shooting of a much-anticipated supernatural sci-fi thriller movie.
LAUNCH OF THE BEANO EXPERIENCE
Beano HQ teamed up with House PR to bring the kids’ comic into the 21st century. They launched the Beano Studios and the Beano Experience, and the big unveiling event was at Beano’s Fleet Street HQ. The objective was to create an environment bursting with a cheeky character to match the 80-year-old comic’s irreverent
MALDIVES PARADISE IN LONDON
Let me take you by the hand and lead you through the streets of London…..and the beautiful beaches of the luxurious Maldives…! Area 51 helped bring a touch of paradise to west London as part of a promotional campaign to boost the profile of the retro chic of Finolhu
PERGOLA
Pergolas are shaded paths and sitting areas. They are also the theme chosen by the Incipio Group for its range of central London restaurants, some of which bear the Pergola brand. The concept was to create a leafy luxurious outdoor feel just off the capital’s busy streets.
FOUR ISLAND FLING
Area 51’s entertainment expeditionary force launched a series of island landings in the Indian Ocean as part of a mission of mirth and magic for luxury jet-set holidaymakers! Bolstering its growing globetrotting reputation, Area 51 dispatched a large posse of performers to the tropical paradise of the Maldives where they

Opened by the Queen in 1986, the Queen Elizabeth II Centre wanted a 30th birthday party with a difference for those who had helped make it one of London’s most successful events venues. It hosts more than 400 events a year
LEGOLAND: WORLD’S SMALLEST PUMPKIN PATCH
Miniland at Legoland’s Windsor attraction brings together some of the world’s most famous landmarks. Here you will find Lego versions of the Eifel Tower, the Statue of Liberty, the Sphynx and a pyramid alongside Stonehenge and the old Wembley Stadium. When they wanted to create the world’s smallest pumpkin patch for Halloween, they turned to us.
THE CONJURING 2
Area 51 executed a real-life recreation of an iconic scary movie scene for special guests at the preview screening of The Conjuring 2. Ahead of the release of the supernatural horror sequel, The Conjuring 2, wanted to set up an unforgettable spine-tingling experience for celebrity guests, the media and Warner Bros representatives.
NATIONAL GEOGRAPIC
National Geographic Traveller magazine wanted to create its first ever all-day festival to bring the magazine to life. The aim was to give readers an immersive experience that showcased the diversity of the world of travel. The venue was The Brewery, London, where customers would be able to visit a large range of seminars, talks, workshops, cooking demonstrations with celeb chefs, and more.
ED’S UP ON CREATURE CHAOS!
Initial sightings placed the lithe creature in southern Wales where it managed to stow away on board a 747 airliner bound for Florida in the USA but it has also been spotted in Oklahoma and Las Vegas. More recently, additional sightings have been made in Mexico, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Chile and Argentina.

Area 51 unleashed legions of zombies on Britain’s second city as Birmingham took a hammering of Halloween horror. The Area 51 special ops brigade transformed the enormous collective of venues and art spaces in Birmingham into a heartland
MASON HOUSE HALLOWEEN
The Argyll Street venue is a luxury nightclub that attracts celebrities and the world’s wealthy. Its unusual interior resembles a Masonic Temple and Area 51 were commissioned to design and rig a high-quality Halloween transformation for its elite guests. Sponsored by Belvedere Vodka, Area 51 were asked to incorporate their products within the scenery.
THE TROLL
The world’s only walking, talking animatronic Troll, measuring a mighty 9ft tall and 7ft wide. The Troll had to be a movie-quality walking, talking monster, able to move around at live events in forests, fields or on floors. We used the latest in silicone skins and paint effects to ensure he was as real close up as in promo pics.

ALICE IN WONDERLAND AT RICOH
Coventry became a town called Alice at Christmas as Area 51 unveiled its new stunning circus show at the Ricoh Arena where thousands of revellers plunged down the rabbit hole into a magical world of fantasy. The brand-new Alice In Wonderland circus proved a staggering success for the Area 51 team as it was born under the lights.
ROBOTS INVADE HYDE PARK
The future came to London’s Hyde Park when Area 51 teamed up with Cirque Beserk to unleash Mechanika, a surreal cyborg spectacular that stunned A-list celebs like David “The Hoff” Hasselhoff and thousands of astonished members of the public.

American disco-glam group, Scissor Sisters, regularly team up with Area 51 to help create stunning show costumes and props for their extravagant live performances
KANDI HEADS – FANTASY FUN IN IBIZA
Once upon a time a legendary name from Ibiza’s clubland royalty needed candy to turn the heads of the party elite and so they called on Area 51 to help. Hed Kandi approached the Warwickshire company to create an elaborate and bespoke collection of stunning set
GATSBY A GREAT SUCCESS!
University students were taken back through time to the Roaring Twenties for a rip-roaring gala ball thanks to Area 51. A series of stunning props and scenery were created for the glittering annual occasion at Loughborough University in the heart of England and together with a troupe of 51 entertainers, the event was heralded an enormous success.
HARRY POTTER
Initially created for a university students’ ball, the client wanted guests to walk through a smokey corridor to the Great Hall at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It should come complete with dozens of ethereal flying candles, stone walls, giant fireplaces and ghostly apparitions. Here the Sorting Hat will guide you and your guests into your chosen Hogwarts houses, whether Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw.
LADY GAGA AT THE ROYAL VARIETY PERFORMANCE
Lady Gaga demands originality and quality. One of Area 51’s most high-profile creations is her surreal spider piano, which amazed guests at the Royal Variety Performance – as well as TV viewers worldwide. The American pop star wanted to descend to her key-board from theatre’s fly-tower on a suspended piano stool, wearing a red PVC outfit featuring a floor-length cloak together with an Elizabethan styled collar.
RICOH CIRCUS IS SMASH-HIT SUCCESS
When a vintage Victorian circus pitched its tent inside the huge Ricoh Arena for a feast of festive fun at a series of sell-out shows the magic of Christmas truly came alive.
PENGUINS AT SNOW DOME
The crew were booked in to provide a festive feast Area 51 style at Tamworth’s Snow Dome arena last Christmas.
