AREA 51 are masters of the immersive horror experience, we have been creating walk-through scare attractions for well over 20 years – as far afield as Dubai.
As well as creating bespoke experiences for many high profile clients, we also operate our own public events that have been recognised as some of the most highly rated in the UK, scooping several awards and plentiful nominations at the highly respected ScareCon Scare Industry Awards each year, competing directly with the likes of Thorpe Park and Alton Towers.
Our forte is in delivering a more immersive experience than most – with guests entering the attraction in carefully regulated groups where we can tell more of a story and create a flow of events, much like being trapped in a movie. We can of course provide the more traditional scare maze attraction with more in the way of wandering characters and jump scares – but mixing these elements with just the right amount of theatre makes the perfectly spooky experience for those who dare to enter. Yes, It has to be frightening – but most of all it has to be fun!
Add to this an absolute attention to detail at all times – with suitably horrific SFX and make-up courtesy of the most talented artists in the business, and perfectly themed costumes for whatever scenario we create. Finally, we’d be nothing without our team of delightfully deranged scare actors; a beautifully brutal blend of thespianism and thuggery!
Completely flexible and designed to fit your space. We will carefully plan and script a unique scenario to fit with your requirements and level of fear you would like to instil in your audience. An experience can last anywhere from 6 to 60 minutes as required. The effect we strive to achieve can be compared to being immersed inside a horror film, with the action happening around you.
Visitors follow a path, with groups entering at intervals designed to give everyone the full experience. They encounter a mixture of hidden scares and choreographed set-pieces of action. Soundscapes are created and lighting is carefully designed to heighten the atmosphere and add to the suspense as they proceed.
