MASON HOUSE: GOTHIC HALLOWEEN DECOR AND ENTERTAINMENT

Area 51 transformed a luxury London nightclub into a gothic hotspot for Halloween.

Mason House attracts both celebrities and a wealthy clientele and sports an unusual interior that resembles a Masonic Temple.

Area 51 were asked to design and install high-quality Halloween themed décor for its elite guests and also to incorporate products from sponsors Belvedere Vodka, within the scenery.

The Argyll Street club, which is situated beneath the vaults of the London Palladium, underwent a three-day transformation by Area 51 staff. The build incorporated a candle-lit crypt entrance that led to a witch’s closet of cauldrons, blood-stained knives and a collection of headless dolls.

Victorian-style oak bars were decorated with guillotine blades and a specialist make-up artist then remodelled Mason House’s 23-strong bar staff into executioners. Meanwhile doormen warped into aristocratic vampires and waiters morphed into Mexican Day of the Dead characters.

The DJ booth was dressed to resemble a derelict church, and props included spooky trees and an assortment of classic horror artifacts. Performers mixed and mingled in costumes including Bram Stoker’s Dracula, beautiful vampire girls and a decapitated Marie Antoinette.
