Area 51’s animal magic helped attract attendees to a UK dance festival as a herd of creature characters hoofed down to Donington Park in the leafy East Midlands to stampede in a safari of surrealism.
Chimps, boxing kangaroos, pandas and penguins, owls and ostriches, a giant lion, an 18-foot-tall giraffe, a turtle, dogs, a bear and even King Kong emerged from the Area 51 “ark” to go animal crackers in the forested area behind the famous motor racing circuit close to East Midlands Airport in Derbyshire for the Zoo Project festival. Extraordinary make up skills were provided by Emma Fay and Sonia Jayne Parra.
Famed for its prominent, open-air daytime residency in Ibiza, Zoo Project brought Balearic beats and blissful vibes back to the UK for a series of festivals.
Area 51 unveiled its VoodooGeddon show at Zoo Project, a new and spectacular blood-sucking creature character that caught the eyes of revellers.
