ONLY the British could deal with a global pandemic by putting themselves through a plague of panic to perk up and Area 51 were typically on hand to deliver an unforgettable COVID-busting horror experience.

More than 25,000 Brits celebrated the end of lockdown by experiencing one of the most terrifying drive-through attractions ever staged in the country.

Staged in the dark at spooky woodland at the Heart of England Conference Centre, the “Road To Hell” event proved to be one of the most successful and critically acclaimed horror experiences held in the U.K. and connoisseurs of all things creepy, Area 51, were at the bloody heart of it all.

Teaming up with Scare Projects and the venue, 51 unleashed a corps of corpses, a crew of creatures and a gang of ghouls to terrify members of the public during a fully-immersive 20-minute journey through dark forest trails.

It was a brilliantly-organised and sold-out affair and fully COVID-safe as punters were only allowed to drive through with members of their own ‘bubbles’ in one car per bubble.

Prior to embarking on their terror trip, punters were entertained by musicians and performers in the car park upon arrival and afterwards refreshments and food were available.

The event was so successful it was extended for a month to cover the period from Halloween to Christmas and it provided vital income for actors and staff members who had otherwise been unable to work during the pandemic. We’re incredibly proud that it’s also been nominated in multiple categories in this year’s Scare Awards.

“Road To Hell” proved to be so successful that it is being updated and refreshed for 2021. And tickets are available from www.heartofenglandhorror.co.uk
