The 20-plus strong cast of characters from Area 51 turned out in the guise of a tiki tribe and a host of animals while the company’s new blue-tiki sea-tribe also appeared hot on the heels of its debut at Bestival on the Isle of Wight the previous weekend.

Chimps, boxing kangaroos, pandas, owls, dogs, a turtle, a bear, penguins, ostriches, giraffe and even King Kong were un-caged by 51 officials. Extraordinary make up skills were provided by Emma Fay and Sonia Jayne Parra. The Zoo Project Festival has become a leading attraction on the UK festival scene. Famed for its much loved residency on Ibiza and with a huge and loyal following, Zoo Project’s third year was deemed a big success. This year’s Sunday was taken over by the Color Festival in which punters were coated in paint.
