Area 51 dancers cast their runes, donned shields and swords and rampaged across Wales and the north of England to help make two rock events the best this side of Valhalla! The performers were among the star attractions at the final Hard Rock Hell event held in North Wales and also at the HRH Vikings Festival staged in Sheffield. With their horns held high, the Area 51 horde of Viking maidens set off for Hafan Y Mor in Pwllheli to help launch the Hard Rock Hell awards night.
The company’s scenery team provided a paparazzi board and red carpet for the occasion. The girls performed a choreographed dance routine with a fire display with a theme centred around “Suicide Squad” and Harley Quinn.
Heading north to Sheffield’s O2 Academy, the girls performed a stunning Vikings themed opening show along with the ever-popular Area 51 character, the Troll. The HRH Vikings Weekender featured two days of hard rock madness with oodles of bands representing five sub genres of metal: battle, Nordic, pagan, black and death.
Odin, Thor, Frigg, Aedir, Balder and the rest of the gang in Asgard were said to be mightily pleased with the efforts of all involved!
