SPEAK EASY, PARTY HARD

The decadent twenties roared back in style as thousands of revellers partied hard at a splendid Speakeasy spree staged inside a leading UK venue with Area 51 in the driving seat. The Ricoh Arena at Coventry was converted into a stunning 1920s Speakeasy setting thanks to lavish design and props from the Area 51 team and then excellently brought to life with a large team of performers who breathed new life into the golden era of flappers, Art Deco, jazz and modernity. A series of massive corporate Christmas party events staged inside the building close to the M6 motorway meant more than 1,500 people per night flocked to the prestigious Midland site.

A series of massive corporate Christmas party events staged inside the building close to the M6 motorway meant more than 1,500 people per night flocked to the prestigious Midland site.

Area 51’s crack squad of entertainers were led by the inimitable Luke Da Silva who took to the stage as the host surrounded by a number of hand-picked circus experts with a wide range of skills to wow punters that included dancers, fire performers, walkabout characters, jugglers, aerialists, specialist ballroom dancers and more.

An authentic 1920s-styled live band added further authenticity to the show that captured the dynamism and splendour of the Roaring Twenties and the Jazz Age when both jazz and blues began to gain a foothold in the public conscience in Europe and North America.

Among the decor created for the seasonal shows were a giant birdcage and an ostentatious chandelier centre piece hanging from the ceiling from which eye catching aerial silk displays were performed to the delight of the guests below.
