FEELIN’ AWWL-WIGHT AT EPIC FESTIVAL!

Area 51 performers are pretty famous for making a big entrance but at the Isle Of Wight Festival they gave many helping hands to two lucky people who won a national prize to take their bows in jaw-dropping style! Teaming up with Strongbow cider, 51's huge team of acts took a central role in the drink giant's "Make An Epic Festival Entrance" promotion which runs throughout the summer of 2017. The first two winners of this giant promotion by the Heineken-owned company were able to choose how they wanted to make a dramatic appearance as the UK festival season kicked off in style off the south coast of England.

Area 51 performers are pretty famous for making a big entrance but at the Isle Of Wight Festival they gave many helping hands to two lucky people who won a national prize to take their bows in jaw-dropping style!

Teaming up with Strongbow cider, 51’s huge team of acts took a central role in the drink giant’s “Make An Epic Festival Entrance” promotion which runs throughout the summer of 2017.

The first two winners of this giant promotion by the Heineken-owned company were able to choose how they wanted to make a dramatic appearance as the UK festival season kicked off in style off the south coast of England.

One parachuted out of an aeroplane into the middle of a massive carnival parade that snaked itself around the vast festival site while the other draw winner decided she wanted to appear at the festival in the midst of a giant pirate-themed parade that featured fire breathing and daredevil pirate performers.

Both parades were meticulously organised and executed by Area 51 in conjunction with Shademakers UK and the Batala drumming corps from Portsmouth over the Solent.

As well as the epic entrance performances, a large sized crew of 51 entertainers performed throughout the festival in a wide variety of interactive and walkabout roles and stilt-walkers mingled with circus skilled performers.

A special shout goes out to Bill Brookman who starred in the Isle of Wight shenanigans before making a dash back across the water to the mainland and heading north to the Download Festival at Castle Donington, Leicestershire where he teamed up with other Area 51 acts as he “doubled up” in style.
