HORSEMEN OF THE APOCALYPSE

The horsemen of the apocalypse may be seen by some as a terrifying sign from the Bible of the impending “end times” but here at Area 51 these eerie equestrians are easily among our favourite characters.

And although they may be the physical incarnations of the forces of man’s self-destruction, 51’s postilion of pestilence, dragoon of death, rider of famine and jockey of famine are a joy to have appear at any shindig, large or small… but really come into their own on Halloween.

OSTRICH RIDERS

OSTRICH RIDERS Area 51’s giant ostriches are among our longest established and most popular characters, and for good reason. The sight of the world’s largest avian strolling around, with talkative safari explorer at the reigns, provides an unbeatable comedy moment. A festival regular, this curious pair has also delighted crowds at a range of other events, from weddings to zoo events, clubs to corporate dos - it seems its popularity has not yet peaked… Alternative riders available include our "TIKI" costumed characters, snow explorers, elves, or even chimps, or Jockeys, making them extremely easy to have adapt to any theme. And Area 51’s King Kong will drive you ape. This gigantic gorilla has been an Area 51 staple for a long time but remains one of the company’s most requested creations. It’s not hard to see why – at an impressive nine feet tall and almost as wide, having this amazing ape gate crash an event is a truly unforgettable sight. King Kong can come with his very own customizable stage show. Unveiling the beast in the traditional way can be arranged but the character is perfectly equipped to skip that and just go on to become a meet and greet attraction. A ringmaster can also be added to the package to help keep him from scaling local skyscrapers! Due to his size and manoeuvrability, King Kong may not be suitable for all venues – please enquire for more information. GIGER ALIENS

GIGER ALIENS Giger-inspired Aliens, based on the scariest movie-monster ever, these creations are terrifyingly realistic. Sporting very involved costumes that were costly to perfect, Aliens provide a never-to-be-forgotten experience for any event. They make for excellent statues on the door and are brilliant when combined with a squad of 51’s space marines. And if space allows, these stunning character creations are perfect in a darkened room filled with smoke and a couple of strobes before allowing guests to enter (at their peril). We also have a Digilegs variation for the full Dog-Alien effect – please see the video. FLESH ZOMBIES

FLESH ZOMBIES Perhaps the most gruesome costumes we’ve ever built, the Flesh Zombies feature fully sculpted, head-to-toe latex bodysuits depicting human bodies with most of the skin pulled off. The costumes show muscle and sinew with small lumps of skin and hair hanging here and there. The Flesh Zombies are excellent as a walkabout act and also excel as human statues at Horror themed events – standing perfectly still on a plinth and then jumping off and chasing after people when they pass. Expect screams a-plenty!
