It takes a brave soul with a big backbone and a deep reservoir of fortitude and grit to venture into the dark, haunted, cold woodlands at night for a daring date with terror. But that’s exactly what was expected of visitors to the latest ‘Spooktacular’ event held at the Heart Of England Conference and Events Centre in Warwickshire.
In a return to his roots, Igor Rasputin and his band of freaks pitched up once again in the Warwickshire woodlands for a horrifying Halloween happening – some 12 years after his first ever appearance at the very same venue…
Featuring exhibits that were seemingly frozen in time, including the Elephant Man, Egyptian mummies, Cannibal children, the Headless Lady and Gentlemen chimpanzees.
Visitors negotiated these chilling chambers and corridors of freaks before being shown into the big top itself to meet Rasputin who then hypnotised the audience before introducing a number of terrifying acts into the space including “The Butcher”, a menacing seven-foot-tall clown juggling body parts – finally escaping through the maze of corridors, pursued by giant killer klowns and a chimp wielding a chainsaw.
Thankfully for the visitors, all things ended well after a truck was sent to rescue them, piloted by a man using a flame thrower to keep Rasputin’s monstrous crew at bay. Visitors were then treated to a sumptuous three-course meal, drinks and entertainment, making the whole experience one of the very best Halloween nights in the country!
