Robots, space girls, butterflies and tribesmen cooked up Cornish delight as they ran to the sun to storm the festival that refuses to die!

Area 51 characters invaded the resort of Newquay in Cornwall for the impressive Run To The Sun Festival which despite rumours of imminent death, continues to thrive as one of Britain’s best annual bashes.

The combination of VW fanaticism, surfing enthusiasts and the party crowd makes the yearly event one not to miss and again Area 51 were heavily involved in providing spectacular entertainment to wow punters from the off.

This year the 51 crew included a Tiki tribe plus femme warriors, the stunning iGlobot with its troupe of gorgeous iGlogirl space maidens plus other attractions.

On the opening night, Area 51 fused eye-catching exotica and fantasy femmes for a thrill-a-minute show jam-packed with stunning costumes, beautiful girls and the usual 51 menu of high octane performances to ensure the first evening was a memorable occasion.

The Tiki tribe came complete with its renovated and improved costumes while the new-for-2014 femme warriors boasted “dark elf” styled costumes that combine mythical and contemporary styles to dazzling effect that lends a sexy vibe perfectly in tune with the current lust for all things fantasy whether it be “Game Of Thrones” or “The Hobbit.”

Saturday night saw the amazing iGlobot show take centre stage together with its supporting cast of space babes. Starring the world’s leading hi-tech LED performer, the iGlobot event was superbly further enhanced with the appearance of the new Area 51 candy girls.

A retro 80s comic book atmosphere revved up Sunday night proceedings with the Area 51 “Where’s Wally?” show grabbing attention with its mixture of stilt and walkabout entertainment.
