Robots, space girls, butterflies and tribesmen cooked up Cornish delight as they ran to the sun to storm a festival that burned brightly for so many years.
Area 51 characters invaded the resort of Newquay in Cornwall for the Run To The Sun Festival which has run on and off since 2000.
The combination of VW car fanaticism, surfing enthusiasts and the party crowd makes the event unmissable and the Warwickshire company has a long association with the show that is staged in Cornwall.
The company has previously despatched a Tiki tribe, femme warrior characters, the stunning iGlobot with its troupe of gorgeous iGlogirl space maidens plus other performers.
Fusing eye-catching exotica and fantasy femmes for a thrill-a-minute show jam-packed with stunning costumes, beautiful girls and the usual menu of high-octane performances, Area 51’s reputation for adding imagination and zest to festivals scored highly.
The Tiki tribe came complete with its renovated and improved costumes while femme warriors boasted “dark elf” styled costumes that combine mythical and contemporary styles to dazzling effect that lends a sexy vibe perfectly in tune with the lust for all things fantasy whether it be “Game Of Thrones” or “The Hobbit.”
A retro 80s comic book atmosphere revved up proceedings with the Area 51 “Where’s Wally?” show grabbing attention with its mixture of stilt and walkabout entertainment.
