Centre piece at the Subaru exhibition Centre piece at the Subaru exhibition

An instantly eye-catching focal point for a prestigious Subaru exhibition.

This excellent self-standing hyper real slate outcrop provided the centre piece for Subaru's commercial vehicles stand at an exhibition staged at Birmingham's N.E.C.

The project was created at the Area 51 workshop fron sketches emailed through to the office and was turned around in a labour-intensive, yet quickfire ten-day period. The structure was hand-carved out from solid polystyrene blocks around an integral steel frame with plywood and then signage and lighting was added together with special paint effects while two tonnes of real slate were also used to finish off what was an impressive display for a prestige client.
