Area 51 painted the town red as a sensational "Moulin Rouge" inspired show featuring lavish decor and spectacular performance artists wowed party goers at the arena venue over six fantastic and phantasmagorical nights of festive fun.
Uniquely designed props, including a giant-sized human birdcage for dancers, from 51 set the backdrop for a decadent celebration of that libertine period of the Belle Époque in the French capital where cultural exuberance and the removal of social shackles led Parisians to famously let down their hair (and everything else!). The show was the latest in a line of annual collaborations with the Ricoh at Yuletide where Area 51 designers and performers have helped create some of the most memorable Christmas parties seen in the region!
And Xmas 2015 was another surefire hit as circus act specialists including jugglers and fire performers joined showgirls doing the can-can and other routines to entertain thousands of guests who had earlier been treated to a sparkling drinks reception and a sumptuous Parisian-styled banquet.
Thanks to the efforts of Area 51's design and build teams, French decor somehow seemed to have been transplanted from the interior of the famous Moulin Rouge (or "red mill") 400 miles away in the Jardin de Paris near Place Blanche at the foot of Montmartre Hill to Lady Godiva's city in the heart of England. Shimmering colours added mood and atmosphere to a huge room that was memorably transformed and everyone agreed that the "oh La! La!" factor was simply magnifique!
After the extravagant Area 51 cabaret, guests were then able to dance the night away to live entertainment and DJs as well as enjoying a numerous indoor fairground attractions.
