NEW AREA 51 BASE IN TROPICAL PARADISE

Area 51 are delighted to establish a permanent base in the tropical paradise of the Maldives after helping to launch an exclusive and one-of-a-kind resort in the Indian Ocean.

A crew of entertainers have been appointed in residence at the aesthetic and sophisticated Finolhu resort among the pristine lagoons, dazzling white beaches and swaying palm trees, giving Area 51 a stable and long-lasting ubiety in one of the most stunning and chic areas on the planet.

The residency follows a glamorous official launch of the resort where Area 51 dispatched a premier team of performance artists to entertain the jet-set guests in an atmosphere of refined, retro relaxation.

Finolhu is designed to implement a timeless sense of style and to revive the halcyon days of the classic chic getaway, marrying a tasteful splendour with a sense of fun and adventure to appeal to lovers of beach holidays.

Area 51 designers created a unique wardrobe of exclusive costumes for the troupe of entertainers before jetting out to the Indian Ocean. After a further 30-minute seaplane flight from Malé International Airport to the UNESCO biosphere of Baal Atoll, Finolhu proves to be a beatific location and the Area 51 team were a mainstay of the launch party working alongside acclaimed DJ star Kissy Sell Out (aka Tommy Bisdee) and the indomitable and hilarious stars of MTV and more, the Cuban Brothers!

Performing across three days and evenings at the resort, the team staged a Moulin Rouge performance among others as well as a breathtaking display of fire skills at the opening ceremony-cum-beach party.

As well as performing as stilt walkabout characters, aerial, contortion and dance displays, Area 51 even installed a mermaid performer into the resort's luxury pool.

After the launch came to a close Area 51 left behinds its crew of resident acts who will give an all year-round commitment to maintaining a very high and deluxe level of performances for visitors.
