The program of events included a meet and greet from characters such as the living Christmas trees and the stunning Ice Maidens. The main showcase for the evening featured a specially choreographed Circus to be performed entirely in the round, playing out to a dramatic soundtrack and included a skilful mix of circus acts lead by our charismatic ringmaster, Luke D'Silva.
The aerial silks set, performed by in-house representatives Jeffrey Tansey and Kirsty Loewy proved a success after weeks of dedicated rehearsals. The death-defying pair demonstrated an expert level of strength and coordination throughout their complicated routine.
Mesmerising flag poi flowed into an LED staff and spinning routine. Sequences of contortion and hand balance were performed by the bendy duo Beth Sykes and Lowri Thomas. This was followed up by a spectacular fire finale played out by Oscar, Elliot, Pippin and Gabby.
The design and build team were also involved, creating black and gold themed décor for the event. A giant Christmas tree decorated with giant baubles provided the festive touch, with the same colour scheme featured on table displays throughout the room. And huge 4 metre globes were used to decorate the space above the tables.
To wrap up an entire program of events, Area 51 provided the amazing DC Fontana, a ten piece band with brass section to finish the night in style. It was a delight and a privilege to once again take the reins on this high profile event.
