Rev-up revamp

Work starts on giving the bikes an overhaul Work starts on giving the bikes an overhaul

Daredevil motor bikes are being given a steampunk refurb in order to rev up an incredible new circus show for Chritsmas.

Staff at Area 51 have worked tirelessly on giving three bikes and their accessories a total re-vamp ahead of the eagerly-anticipated launch of this year's Cirque Extreme in Hyde Park, London.

The jaw-dropping show's main attraction is the terrifying Globe of Death routine performed by Brazilian artists, the Lucius Team and it's their machines and finery that have been given an overhaul so when they appear under the Big Top they will follow the circus' steampunk theme.

The extensive and time-consuming work includes giving the motorcycle riders' helmets and body armour a total new look as well as the bikes' fairings with a gold, brass and copper colour theme in evidence.

Cirque Extreme is going to be one of the main visitor attractions at the Winter Wonhderland event staged in London which runs from November 18 until January 3, 2012.

The Lucius Team consist of a trio of hair-raising bikers whose bravery and immense skill are world-renowned whereas their Globe of Death act is also considered to be one of the more perilous acts of its kind on show. The team will perform over a musical soundtrack performed especially for the show by alternative rock band Sci-Fi Mafia.
