TUBBA 3 PLY

Tubba 3 Ply live at Glastonbury Tubba 3 Ply live at Glastonbury

South coast electronica deep fried in bass batter, served with squelchy synths and a side salad of guitars and lightly garnished with a smattering vocals...Tubba 3 Ply are like no other.

The Brighton-based breakbeat outfit, who have kicked up a storm at Glastonbury, bring together disparate elements from the broad church of electronica and add a zestful old school punk attitude with a dub sensibility to create their own brand of off-kilter dance mayhem.

Guitarist Niall Carson provides the vocals whereas Tim Norman plays bass guitar and Dib Littlefair is the group's keyboard wizard. Nick Hodge is in charge of turntablism activities and the band lists Lee Scott on "lead electric triangle."

Among their influences are Freestylers, The Beastie Boys, Leftfield, Roots Manuva, Bob Marley, DJ Yoda, Stiff Little Fingers, The Clash, Hallucinogen, John Lennon, the Mighty Sparrow, The Specials and Steel Pulse among many others...
